We are excited to share what Alex Fullick had to say about the #FutureOfResilience.
"The future of resilience is uncertain and unknown. That’s not a cop out. It’s because each of us defines resilience on our own terms and comes from our own experiences. That’s also true for each community and organization. It’s are our own experiences and our own responses that make us resilient – or not. To try and provide a single, all-encompassing definition is out of reach, but if we can agree on common characteristics and traits, then perhaps we have a chance to build a foundational definition. What works for you in one situation may not work for someone else when placed in the same situation, but what worked for them may not work for you. So how can we establish the future or resilience when the future is uncertain for all of us? I think until we start looking internally for the definition of resilience, we aren’t going to be able to help others recognise it in themselves, their organizations, or their communities."
